Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using FamLoot ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users, including parents and children using the App under parental supervision.

2. Description of Service

FamLoot is a family task and reward management application that allows parents to assign tasks to children, track completion, and manage a reward system using virtual points or symbolic monetary values. FamLoot does not handle real financial transactions.

3. Eligibility

  • Parent accounts require users to be at least 18 years of age.
  • Child profiles may be created by a parent or guardian for minors under 18.
  • By creating an account, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and that you have the authority to create profiles for any children in your family group.

4. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your PIN.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately at famloot03@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
  • FamLoot is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized account access due to your failure to keep credentials secure.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use FamLoot to:
  • Upload or share content that is harmful, offensive, illegal, or inappropriate.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or the App's systems.
  • Use the App for any commercial purposes without prior written consent.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Transmit any malware, viruses, or other malicious code.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload to FamLoot (such as task photos). By uploading content, you grant FamLoot a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to your family group. We do not share your content with third parties.

7. Virtual Rewards & Points

All points, virtual currency, and reward values within FamLoot are symbolic and have no real monetary value. FamLoot does not facilitate real money transfers. Any financial rewards are solely managed between the parent and child outside of the App.

8. Privacy & Children's Data

Your use of FamLoot is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We are committed to protecting children's privacy and comply with applicable laws regarding the collection and use of personal data from minors.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, and code within FamLoot are the property of FamLoot and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the App without prior written permission.

10. Disclaimers

FamLoot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use of the App is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FamLoot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data or interruption of service.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to other users or the integrity of the App. You may delete your account at any time via the App settings.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable Norwegian law. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Norwegian courts.
